Most of us are experts in the biology, but we are illiterate when it comes to the beautiful. We tirelessly search for it but we will never find it until we realise that the beautiful only comes from God. No matter how many times we have sex, no matter how many times we hear the words ‘I love you”, it will forever be empty if it isn’t connected with the God who invented true love and is Himself the Author of romance. When you take God out of the centre of your world, everything sweet, tender, pure and lovely is sure to quickly follow.
— Eric Ludy (via jesmicael)
Inviting God to write the chapters of our love story involves work on our part - not just scattered prayers here and there, not merely a feeble attempt to find some insight by flopping open the Bible every now and then. It’s seeking Him on a daily basis, putting Him in first place at all times, discovering His heart… As you get to know Him and His Word, you will understand His desires for you. It takes effort. It isn’t easy. But it’s the key to discovering the sweeter song.
Leslie Ludy, When God Writes Your Love Story (via hellobeasty)

“Every minute felt like an eternity. Time, clearly as if it had malicious intent, slowly ebbed away above me. I clenched my teeth, and keeping myself from crying was the only thing I could do.”

Until this moment, I never understood how hard it was to lose something you never had.

Is there healing for the pain?

This is partially inspired by the idea suggested by Sir Roi. Holding on is loving, but sometimes letting go is loving more. This also goes for the couples out there who are in a long-distance relationship. You are all brave.

I just have to reblog this because I haven’t got the chance to do it before. So this is a sort-of collab with my good friend JE. I wish I could draw or doodle like he can.

Roman Opałka was a French-born Polish painter who painted numbers. In 1965 he began painting a process of counting – from one to infinity. Starting in the top left-hand corner of the canvas and finishing in the bottom right-hand corner, the tiny numbers were painted in horizontal rows. As of July 2004, he had reached 5.5 million.
